Photos show another view of the valley and the peaceful St. Antimo Abbey where we listened to five monks sing Gregorian chants in a Romanesque church built in the late 1100's. Best of all, the weather was clear most of the day.
We consider ourselves travelers. We have lived and traveled in Asia, and visited Europe on several occasions. We've been on road trips throughout Canada and the US. This is our first attempt at a travel blog.
Bryant and Martha both trained as teachers in university; Bryant has a BA, MEd and MGuidance, and Martha has two bachelor's degrees. Our first jobs were at a private rehab center in New Hampshire for physically handicapped children.
We emigrated to Canada in 1975 with our two small children. We were both special education teachers and administrators in New Brunswick public schools until we retired in 2002, when we went to China to teach English. In 2007 we moved to Grand Manan Island in the Bay of Fundy, and greatly enjoy the laid back lifestyle. We own a century home here, and are involved in several community groups as volunteers. Travel is our passion.
