Ya-Hoo!!! We made it to Calgary with our grandson, L, who had never flown before, and was a good traveler. He and Grandpa flew through Toronto, while I went via Montreal, all of us leaving SJ and arriving at Calgary within an hour of each other. Had a delicious Alberta Beef BBQ at T and A's house after they picked us up at the airport just before supper.
Friday, July 9 - Day 1: Stampede Parade and Rodeo.
A. had ordered tickets for parking, Stampede transportation, bleacher seats for the parade, and rodeo seats for today. It was very hot in the sun, but we had great seats for the parade, which featured over 750 horses! Lots of cowboy hats on the spectators.
